What is Moving Day?

With nearly one million Americans and 10 million people worldwide living with Parkinson’s, the Parkinson’s Foundation makes life better for people with Parkinson’s disease by improving care and advancing research toward a cure.

Moving Day, A Walk for Parkinson’s, is an opportunity to join together as a community to honor loved ones, raise awareness, support the life-changing work of the Parkinson’s Foundation and celebrate movement – proven to help manage Parkinson’s symptoms. The Moving Day experience includes PD-friendly fitness demonstrations, information booths, the We Move Ceremony, and the Moving Day Walk.

Moving Day walks across the country are fighting Parkinson’s.

Every dollar raised supports the Parkinson’s Foundation mission to make life better for people affected by Parkinson’s disease (PD).

Moving Day is more than just a walk. Bring your friends and family to exercise, learn about Parkinson’s resources, take part in the We Move Ceremony, and, of course, enjoy the Moving Day Walk.

Lexington’s Moving Day is scheduled for Saturday April 13, 2024 at 9 am at Henry Clay High School.
